Gary Tooth, is a creative director and graphic designer who has worked for a variety of clients and publishers, designing brands and publications, for companies, artists, museums and celebrity chefs. His passion for typography and eye for detail drive him to create functional and elegant work.
His work has been published by the AIGA, Art Directors Club, D&AD, The New York Book Show, Type Directors Club, and featured in ID Magazine, Interior Design, Metropolis, Monocle, The New York Times Style Section, Design Week, and in the books 1000 Graphic Elements, Letterhead and Logo Design 9, and Old Type New Type.
Two winners at the ICAP 2020 Cookbook Awards; Pastry Love by Joanne Chang (HMH) won best Baking Cookbook, and Milk Street: The New Rules: Recipes That Will Change the Way You Cook Christopher Kimball (Voracious), won best General Cookbook.
The “Paper Doll insert,” Hue Winter 2020 for FIT, won a Silver UCDA Design Awards Show for 2020, beating out over 800 other entries.

The Sweet Life, art directed and designed for Bulfinch, won second place for Special Trade in the 21st Annual New York Book Show, March 2007.
