Inspired by USA Network’s “Characters Welcome” tagline, and with the support of the Aperture Foundation. USA Network commissioned eleven renowned photographers to interpret "character" in America today. The result is American Character: A Photographic Journey a 196 page book and a touring exhibition called the "Character Project."
